What is Pastured Poultry?
Very simply, it's chicken the way it is supposed to be.
We raise all of our birds outside starting at three weeks of age.
They are kept in portable pens to protect them from predators.
The pens are moved every morning to fresh pasture.
Along with all of the fresh grass and clover they can eat, we also feed them local grains, including corn, roasted soybeans and oats. Lots of fresh air, sunshine, excercise and bugs - they are birds after all. Pastured Poultry is incredibly rich in flavor and texture.
Why Choose Pastured Poultry?
Daily moving of small groups (less than 100) to clean, fresh pasture ensures the highest quality of hygiene, low stress and a continuous source of new forage.
Our pastured chickens grow in a low-stress natural environment with plenty of room to roam about and be...well...chickens.
Our on-farm hand processing of each individual bird guarantees clean, healthy food.
Our family and yours deserve wholesome, healthy, clean food.
Pasture raised meats have up to three times higher concentrations of polyunsaturated fats and omega-3 fatty acids.

(the bad stuff)
